Age-Friendly Initiatives

The World Health Organization, in association with its US partner, AARP, is involved in identifying and advocating policy and program changes to make partner jurisdictions more welcoming and productive for residents of all ages. While, in theory, this means anyone with special needs outside those of the average population, in practice much of the work has been done around making accommodations for people getting older, much like the mission of the Village.

DC has several Age-Friendly DC Task Forces that include MP Village members.
